The offices of Dr. Talmage are located in downtown Dallas and downtown Ft. Worth, Texas. She also has offices in the Denton, Frisco, Allen area. She has a "teaching practice" which means she has exceptionally gifted interns and post-doctoral students who assist her as they earn clinical hours towards their doctoral degree. Dr. Talmage is especially proud of her students who represent diverse cultures and backgrounds. One thing they all have in common is the enthusiasm and dedication they show for all our clients.
From time to time we all are puzzled by events in our lives, other people, and sometimes even ourselves! When this occurs we often talk to a trusted family member or friend to sort things out. There may be times, however, when our minds are still boggled and we need to consult with a professional psychologist whose job it is to help clarify the situation, arrive at formal diagnoses based on Diagnostic Criteria from the DSM-IV, and formulate a practical and effective treatment plan. We call this a "psychological evaluation." The process involves us chatting with you or your loved one, and administering some appropriate tests based on age level, and the presenting problems. We call this "fitting the pieces of the puzzle together" Once we can all see the "big picture" we can take steps to tackle and resolve the issues that seemed too big to conquer.
